L&B’s Sophisticated New Empirbus System Offers Clever, Affordable Digital Switching
Lusty and Blundell’s new Empirbus digital switching offers the elegance, sophistication and convenience of advanced home automation in an affordable, easy-to-use system suitable for both trailer boats and larger vessels.
Empirbus digital switching allows skippers to control all of their electrical and electronic systems (lighting, nav lights, wipers, horns, entertainment and security systems and even air-conditioning) from a single 6-19in multifunction display, smartphone or tablet.

Lusty and Blundell’s new Empirbus digital switching offers the elegance, sophistication and convenience of advanced home automation in an affordable, easy-to-use system suitable for both trailer boats and larger vessels.
Empirbus digital switching allows skippers to control all of their electrical and electronic systems (lighting, nav lights, wipers, horns, entertainment and security systems and even air-conditioning) from a single 6-19in multifunction display, smartphone or tablet.
Empirbus digital switching does away with the need for costly, unsightly mechanical circuit breakers and space-hogging switch panels; replacing them with affordable, reliable and convenient state-of-the-art digital power distribution and advanced self-powering wireless switches and sensors.
Empirbus digital switching is also incredibly flexible. It can be used for all on-board systems or just those selected by the owner, ideal for those gradually refurbishing an older vessel.
With Empirbus digital switching, owners can customise their control screens to suit the way they go boating. They can also upload an image of their boat and overlay their control icons to match their position on board.
Skippers can also simplify things still further by setting up a variety of one-button modes such as fishing mode, anchor mode or night mode. (In night mode, for example, on board lights could be dimmed, anchor lights switched on and the radar set to sound an alarm if the boat drifts or another boat approaches.)
