Experienced retailer & manager
to head L&B electrical team
Experienced retail manager and merchandiser, Bob Fassio, has become Lusty and Blundell’s new Electrical Product Manager.
The appointment is something of a dream come true for the bluewater sailor who spent seven years cruising around the US and Canada and crossing the Pacific.
“When I reached New Zealand I fell in love with the place and immediately wanted to stay here,” he says. “Not long after, I heard about Lusty and Blundell and decided it would be the perfect place for me.
“The company is New Zealand’s leading marine products distributor and sells the world’s best brands. With my background, working for them really appealed.”
Bob Fassio, who was previously Cater Marine’s general manager in Opua, has an impressive CV. He was assistant manager at West Marine’s Fort Lauderdale store (the world’s largest marine outlet); sold the benefits of Opua Marina to cruising sailors in Tonga and worked in the petrochemical industry, liaising with governments, land owners and local regulatory authorities.
“Bob is a great addition to the Lusty and Blundell team,” says Senior Product Manager, Grant Matthew. “Because of his extensive sales experience he really understands exactly what our customers need.
“In addition, his excellent marketing, merchandising and negotiating skills will be invaluable in promoting our existing product lines and adding new ones.”
New Lusty and Blundell Electrical Product Manager, Bob Fassio, will be based at L&B’s Albany headquarters in Auckland.
