Complete Cyclone radar access & control a key feature of new LightHouse update

Date: 24-Nov-2021

The latest upgrade to Raymarine’s popular LightHouse operating system provides complete access to the setup, calibration and operational features of Raymarine’s exciting new Cyclone radar range.

Named Hvar, after the picturesque Croatian resort island in the Adriatic Sea, the new 3.16 upgrade is now available to owners of all Axiom, Axiom+, Axiom Pro, Axiom XL multifunction displays, as well as the RVX1000 3D Sonar Module.

Hvar also introduces support for Cyclops Marine’s wide range of marine-specific load cell sensors. These are popular on numerous types of sailing vessels and, using Havr, owners will now be able to display their rig load data in Axiom’s Dashboard app, in databoxes and in sidebars.

The new LightHouse Hvar enables the display of LightHouse Apps from Seakeeper, Quick, Lumishore, ShadowCaster, Mazu (and a number of other marine hardware partners) in the LightHouse 3 windowed interface. It also, for the first time, introduces colour-coded alarm warnings, information popups and helm grouping when linked to Mercury SmartCraft Connect systems.

Those who use Raymarine’s Quantum 2 radars can now use Hvar to create and enable no-transmit” zones, effectively preventing the radar from transmitting in selected directions.

Other upgrades include improvements to Anchor Mode, to sea temperature calibration and to depth, heading and distance units.

Raymarine’s new Hvar LightHouse 3.16 operating system is now available and free to download using the Axiom’s software update feature or from http://www.raymarine.eu/multifunction-displays/lighthouse3/.
