Exploding Fish chooses L&B to distribute innovative rotating rod holder range
Lusty and Blundell, New Zealand’s largest and most respected distributor of top-quality marine products and services, is to distribute the innovative new Exploding Fish rotating rod holder range in New Zealand and throughout the South Pacific.
Exploding Fish rod holders, which enable fishers to position their rods at the angle that best suits their fishing ¾ and quickly and easily change that position whenever they wish, have already proved popular in Australia and with knowledgeable fishers here in New Zealand.
The Exploding Fish range was invented by keen Cairns fisher Jim McQuade who says Lusty and Blundell is the perfect fit for his product.
“I was looking for a highly respected New Zealand and South Pacific distributor that was well established and had lots of credibility,” he says. “I questioned a number of New Zealand’s top boat manufacturers and retailers and they virtually all recommended Lusty & Blundell.”
Since appointing L&B, Jim McQuade says he has been incredibly impressed with the enthusiasm for Exploding Fish that has been shown by all the L&B team.

Designed and engineered in Australia and manufactured to exacting standards in Thailand, Exploding Fish rotating rod holders allow fishers to rotate the angle of their rods through 360 degrees with just the push of a button. This allows them to ensure their rods are always set to the best angle for the prevailing winds, tides, currents and wave actions. Fishers can also instantly adjust both the spread and the angles of their rods when trolling, drifting, bottom fishing or at anchor, and effortlessly bring their rod tips on board to re-bait or remove fish.
They are available in three sleeve angles (0, 15 and 30 degrees), manufactured in 316L stainless steel and come with an impressive 5-year warranty.
