L&B’s Zodiac Kiwi Summer Explorer Packs: a great way to get on the water
Lusty and Blundell’s Zodiac Kiwi Summer Explorer Packs, consisting of a Zodiac Cadet Aero inflatable, Haswing Ultima electric outboard motor and two Spinlock Deckvest Lite lifejackets are a great way to get on the water.
The packs, which are really great value for money, include either a Zodiac 230 Aero or a Zodiac 270 Aero, along with the Ultima electric outboard and the two Spinlock lifejackets.
The Zodiac 230 Aero Summer Explorer Pack is only $5,945 including GST, a saving of $534.80 on the usual retail price of $6,477.80 and the Zodiac 270 Aero Summer Explorer Pack is only $6,245 including GST, a saving of $502.80 on the usual retail price of $6,747.80.
The 230 and 270 are part of the Zodiac’s renowned Cadet range and feature an Aero Inflatable Floor, Zodiac’s patented ‘thermo-bonding’ manufacturing process (which offers unparalleled durability with seams that are virtually indestructible) and Zodiac’s unique welded rubber strakes (ensuring the boat is properly protected from bumps and knocks and its passengers from spray).
Haswing’s Ultima electric outboard is a powerful brush-less electric motor can deliver up to 110lbs thrust of step-less adjustable speed control in either forward or reverse, equivalent to that from a 3-4hp petrol outboard. However, at just 15.9kgs, it is considerably lighter, boasts a maximum speed of around 5 knots and can cruise economically at around 3 knots, giving a range of up to 18 nautical miles (34 km) on a single charge.
Spinlock Deckvest Lite lifejackets are available in a range of fashionable colours, fit comfortably around the shoulders (rather than the neck like other lifejackets) are lightweight and low profile. They include a single crotch strap with recessed clip (to reduce the risk of snagging), have 170N buoyancy and one size fits all. They come with a long 5-year warranty and need only be serviced once every two years (instead of annually as is the case with most inflatable lifejackets).
