Victron’s Orion TR Smart DC -DC Charger a clever way to protect & monitor your batteries
Victron’s Orion TR Smart DC -DC charger is a sophisticated charger designed for boats or vehicles where the house battery is charged by the start battery and alternator.
Suitable for use with 12v lead acid or lithium batteries, the Orion TR charger has a configurable 3-stage charge algorithm providing adaptive bulk, absorption or float modes, as well as a fixed voltage alternative, to ensure the house battery is maintained in peak condition.
The Orion TR charger has the ability to detect whether the battery is running or has been shutdown, has a remote on/off switch capability for manual or Battery Management System control and is fitted with Bluetooth® technology. This allows owners to use their Bluetooth® enabled smartphone, tablet or laptop to monitor their battery’s charging status, view historical data or program the charger, all in real time.
The charger can also double as a stable power supply, enabling owners to power 12V devices, such as a fridge/freezer (with the ability to automatically disconnect the power at a pre-defined voltage to avoid the battery going flat).
The Orion TR is also very safe (with features including overload, over-temperature, and short circuit protection) and very versatile (with multiple units able to be installed in parallel to increase the output current).
