Raymarine’s new RCU-1 handheld ‘Point & Go’ waterproof wireless autopilot remote control

Date: 01-Jul-2026

The new RCU-1 Wireless Autopilot Remote Control connects to an Evolution autopilot via Bluetooth, using the new WG-1 Wireless Gateway and integrating directly with the vessel’s existing NMEA 2000/SeaTalk NG network. Thanks to its 30-metre Bluetooth range, it can be used from virtually anywhere on board.

Featuring a bright colour display and dedicated autopilot control buttons, the new remote, designed to be used on both power and sail boats, delivers added flexibility, mobility and situational awareness while underway.

Ideal for when trimming sails, adjusting fishing gear or just moving around the boat, especially when boating solo or with few crew, the new RCU-1 remote is packed full of clever and extremely practical new features.

These include Point and Go course setting, which allows the skipper to change direction by simply pointing the remote in the direction they want the boat to go; and Solo Sailor safety mode, which automatically points the boat into the wind immediately a wearer-overboard situation is detected.

In addition to the easy-to-read, sunlight visible colour display, the RCU-1 also features customisable NMEA 2000 data display pages, practical power saving features that extend battery life and a sturdy IPX7 waterproof construction.

Compatible with all Raymarine Evolution autopilots fitted with a WG-1 Wireless Gateway, connected to the boat’s NMEA 2000/SeaTalk NG backbone, Raymarine’s new RCU-1 Wireless Autopilot Remote Control is now available at Lusty and Blundell’s three showrooms in Albany, Whangarei and Tauranga and through its nationwide network of leading marine dealers.
