L&B’s flexible new solar panels ideal for use on RVs & boats
The panels not only boast superior salt mist resistance to withstand long-term sea breeze corrosion as well as advanced UV resistance to cope with prolonged exposure to the sun, they are also specifically designed to cope with the bending and vibrations that are an integral part of life on the water or road.
The unique custom geometry of the Horizon solar panels is a perfect fit for the irregular spaces of RV roofs, cabin tops, decks, hatches and masts and ideal for these sometimes narrow or curved places.
The Horizon high output panels are built to perform, are high VOC and compatible with MPPT solar controllers (for even greater efficiency). They are also up to 80% lighter than comparable panels, weighing under 2kgs each.
The panels’ high-output monocrystalline cells deliver more watts off the same footprint and are renowned for their performance in harsh changeable conditions.
They feature a robust, UV-resistant ETFE surface, are IP68 rated, are available with or without eyelets and are quick and easy to install with just a single cable required.
For even greater efficiency, the panels can be paired with a Victron MPPT SMART Solar Charge Controller, ensuring every bit of the sun’s available energy is harvested. An optional Scanstrut IP68 Horizontal Cable Seal will ensure seamless and efficient cable routing in all marine and outdoor environments.
The Horizon flexible solar panel range is now available at Lusty and Blundell’s three showrooms in Albany, Whangarei and Tauranga and through its nationwide network of leading marine dealers.
