Versatile MasterDrive power steering makes berthing a breeze

Date: 01-Sep-2016

Ultraflex’s new MasterDrive power-assisted hydraulic inboard steering delivers the same level of comfort and control as boat owners experience in their vehicles.

Ideal for launches, motoryachts and larger powerboats with inboard engines, the new MasterDrive power steering system puts skippers in total control of their vessel.

Conventional steering systems can make berthing a boat in a marina a stressful exercise, especially in a strong cross breeze. Ultraflex’s MasterDrive power steering massively reduces that stress by eliminating torque at the helm and allowing the skipper to choose the level of feel they experience at the wheel.

Simply by pushing a button on the MasterDrive control panel, skippers can choose which of the three markedly different levels of helm feedback best suits their style of driving.

MasterDrive power steering can be used on vessels with dual stations and in conjunction with an autopilot. An optional tilt helm, with five distinct locking positions and 48 degrees of rotation, is also available.

For additional piece of mind, the power steering system boasts a fail-safe feature that automatically reverts to manual steering if power is lost.

The new MasterDrive power steering system is available from Lusty and Blundell’s showrooms in Auckland, Whangarei and Tauranga, and from the company’s nationwide network of leading marine dealers.
