Internet Afloat

Digital Yacht’s 4GXtream & 5GXtream offer internet connectivity up to 25NM from the coast (network dependent). Internet access afloat adds to boating and keeps you up to date with news and email as well as being a source of entertainment, TV and media. The boater can take advantage of entertainment services such as Netflix and Spotify. It can also be used to download the latest weather information. Insert a SIM card and the boat will have its own independent interwork without hunting for WiFi access points and passwords.

The units include:

Dual SIM slots with auto-fail or manual selection
Two external, high gain, wide bandwidth antennas for optimal performance (5GXtream includes a high gain dome antenna for higher 5G frequencies)
Dual band integrated WiFi router (2.4 & 5 GHz) – independently configurable
Built in NMEA2000 interface to transmit
Built in GPS with external patch antenna for remote tracking and anchor alarms
3 LAN ports (5GXtreme has 4 LAN ports) for wired devices like Smart TVs and a WAN port suitable for Starlink satellite connectivity or the Digital Yacht WL510 high power WiFi system
SMS capability

4G Xtream offers Cat 6 LTE MIMO technology with fast download speeds of 300 MB/s up to 25NM from shore. It includes built in NMEA2000 interface to transmit NMEA2000 data over the wireless and wired networks to compatible apps.

5G Xtream supports 5G (shoreside) connection speeds up to 3.1GB/s and integrates a 4G Cat 20 modem which offers connectivity up to 25NM from shore at speeds of up to 2GB/s.
